Sega Megadrive 1 / Master System 1 AV connector.


Starting from the 1 o'clock position, when viewing the system from the back,
and going clockwise, the pins are:  Red, Audio, +5 volts, Ground, Green,
Composite video, and Negative combined sync. Blue is on the center pin.

The connector required is a 8 pin OFFSET DIN (male).

While this information was from the Megadrive 1, it is the same for the UK Master System 1. Indeed Sega
did not change the port from Master System to Megadrive as the Megadrive only outputs audio in mono
from this port wheras it is a stereo machine.
While this info should be the same for the US machine I cannot verify it as I do not currently own
one.

Megadrive 1 RGB / SCART leads should work fine on the Master System (mine does).

Unfortunatly the UK Master System 2 does not have an AV port, only a poorer quality RF port.
